Comparison between Simparica and Comfortis
Simparica and Comfortis will protect your dogs from fleas, but they are still different, so let's see how they make a difference.
Simparica Chewables and Comfortis tablet control and prevent flea infection, and it needs to administer monthly. They kill existing adult fleas and new adult fleas before they lay eggs and break the breeding cycle.
Simparica also kills ticks like Lone Star ticks, deer ticks, brown dog ticks, and Gulf Coast ticks.
Simparica is only available for dogs, and it is safe at the age of six weeks and minimum body weight of 2.8 lbs (1.3 kg). Simparica should not be given to cats. Comfortis is safe to give to cats at the age of 14 weeks with and minimum weight of 4.1 lbs (1.9 kg) and to dogs at the age of 14 weeks with and minimum body weight of 5 lbs (2.3kg).
