Nexgard vs.Simparica

Comparison between Nexgard and Simparica

Chewables are a mess-free and simple option to control flea and tick infections on your dog. Here we will see the difference between the most popular brands, Nexgard and Simparica. Both need to be administered monthly and come in flavored chewables.

Nexgard and Simparica help control flea infestations by breaking the breeding cycle and killing adult fleas and ticks.

Nexgard and Simparica work similarly, but they have different active ingredients: Nexgard (Afoxolaner) and Simparica (Sarolaner). Before starting any medication, it is important to consider the active ingredient and whether it suits your dog.

Nexgard is safe to use at the age of eight weeks with and minimum weight of 4 lbs (2 kg). Simparica is safe for puppies and dogs at six weeks and has a minimum body weight of 2.8 lbs (1.3 kg).

Please choose the correct size according to your pet's body weight.
