Comparison between Bravecto Chews and Comfortis Tablets For Dogs
Chewable flea treatment can be mess-free compared to topical treatment. However, when selecting the best product for your pet, consider if your pet has been exposed to ticks and you are treating your cat or dog.
Both these chewable treatments kill adult fleas, breaking the breeding cycle and preventing them from laying eggs. Unfortunately, Bravecto chew is only available for dogs, while Comfortis is available for cats and dogs.
Bravecto provides 12-week protection against fleas and ticks; it requires less frequent administration than other flea treatments. You can reapply every eight weeks to protect the Lone Star tick (Amblyomma americanum).
Comfortis chews protect your pets for the entire month from fleas. But, unfortunately, it does not kill ticks.
Bravecto Chew is safe for puppies and dogs at the age of six months and has a minimum body weight of 4.4 lbs (2kg). At the same time, Comfortis for dogs can be used at the age of 14 weeks and minimum weight of 5 lbs (2.3kg). Comfortis for cats is safe to use at the age of 14 weeks and body weight of 4.1 lbs (1.9kg).
Please choose the correct size according to your pet's body weight.
