Uses Of Dinotefuran

Dinotefuran is an ectoparasiticide used to control fleas in Cats & Dogs. It is highly effective for protecting fleas but does not affect ticks, internal parasites, or mites. Therefore, it is usually combined with other parasiticides, such as larvicides, Pyriproxyfen, and Permethrin.

Method Of application

It is available in an external application. For example, it comes in combined ingredients products like Spot-on solutions or topical.

Dosage And administration

Dinotefuran does not come in a single-ingredient product. Therefore, always refer to the information on the specific product and only use it as directed. 

Possible side effects

Most dogs and cats can take Dinotefuran usually but again can cause some skin sensitivity at the application site. 

Symptoms of toxicity

Dogs and Cats may undergo poisoning due to accidental ingestion when licking the area of treatment.

There are a few symptoms of toxicity, like behavioral disorders, anxiety, vocalization, hyperactivity, loss of appetite, and lethargy.
