Oral Rehydration Therapy for Dehydration and Electrolyte Imbalance
This oral rehydration solution provides a carefully balanced blend of glucose, glycine, and essential electrolytes, formulated to treat dehydration and restore electrolyte balance effectively.

- Glucose: 278.75 g/L
- Sodium chloride: 53.44 g/L
- Glycine: 38.56 g/L
- Potassium phosphate monobasic: 25.53 g/L
- Citric acid monohydrate: 3.28 g/L
- Potassium citrate: 0.75 g/L
Indications
This non-antibiotic, oral supportive therapy is designed for:
- Dehydrated or convalescing dogs and cats, including those affected by viral conditions like canine parvovirus or feline panleukopenia.
- Replenishing fluids and electrolytes in calves, pigs, lambs, and foals suffering from dehydration or scours.
- A recommended initial feed for newly acquired or stressed calves and pigs.
- Assisting in the treatment of pregnancy toxemia in ewes.
Dosage and Administration
For oral use only, the concentrate must be diluted with clean water at a ratio of 1 part concentrate to 11.5 parts water (refer to Dilution Table for exact measurements). This solution provides essential rehydration for dogs and cats and supports recovery from scours in calves, pigs, lambs, and foals. Ewes suffering from pregnancy toxemia may also benefit from the undiluted concentrate.
To prepare, measure the required amount of concentrate (1 capful = 10 mL) into a mixing container and dilute with fresh, potable water. Secure the cap tightly after each use.
